MiNETA: Sexy Electro Circus Funk, is music for people who want more than just music when they’re dropping their hard-earned coin to see a show. It’s a highly improvisational multimedia freak show with vision, skill and purpose. It’s a cultural mashup created by, and for, people who are comfortable enough in their own skin to not think twice about showing some. As soon as you’re drawn in and caressed by the soulful and sexy crooning of vocals, odd-rhythm yet remarkably musically intuitive explosions of funk, dubstep and ska will whip you into a dancing frenzy. Whimsical costumes are customized fresh for every live performance, and if the atmosphere provides; MiNETA comes equipped with a fire-spinning drummer.

 

   The band formed with suitable serendipity over a three-week span in mid 2012, when  Arty Basinski needed to form a band to back Australian mind-melters Barons of Tang for their Toronto shows. MiNETA's current lineup consists of Bella Muerta (Vocals) Arty Basinski (Drums) Jordan Quinn (Keys) and Britton Vincent (Guitar). Over the past  year MiNETA’s festival resume  has included; twice headlining the sold- out official Ontario Burning Man Party, Digital Earth Festival, Manifesting Magic and Mooseman. MiNETA has been twice the featured band at the ever-popular Lunacy Cabaret at Zero Gravity Circus in Toronto, opened for blockbusters Hiatus Kaiyote had a very successful monthly residency at the Piston, and are planning a European tour in 2014.
